New transit flight Hanoi - Moscow – Frankfurt in Domodedovo International Airport

EAST LINE Group - the managing company of the Domodedovo airport - and the specialists of Vietnam Airlines - the national Vietnam carrier – are finalizing the organizational and technical preparation for the first Hanoi – Moscow – Frankfurt transit flight, which will be carried out December 2.

This project will be another step of the EAST LINE Group in the realization of the programme of making Domodedovo a transfer hub between Europe and South-Eastern Asia.

Vietnam Airlines started performing regular flights to Domodedovo International Airport on October 28, 2003. Currently Vietnam Airlines is flying twice a week on the route Hoshimin – Hanoi - Moscow (Domodedovo) – Hanoi - Hoshimin. The arrival from Vietnam to Domodedovo is at 7.45 AM, and departure from Domodedovo at 9.20 PM.

Currently Domodedovo International Airport is showing the fastest passenger volume growth among Russian airports. The fastest growth is demonstrated on international routes.

In October 2003 the number of passengers on international routes in Domodedovo doubled in comparison with last year's figures and summed up to 321 000 passengers. Generally this increase is resulted from the intensification of flights on these routes and with the arrival of new foreign airlines to the airport.
