AIRZENA Georgian airlines has launched scheduled flights from Domodedovo International airport 01.12.2003
AIRZENA Georgian airlines national air carrier of Georgia has launched scheduled flights from Domodedovo International airport to Tbilisi since December 1. These flights used to be carried out to Vnukovo airport.
Flights will be carried out daily by Boeing-737 in two-class composition. According to the schedule arrival from Tbilisi to Domodedovo airport – at 10.35, departure – 11.45.
As Gela Gventsadze General representative of the airline in Russia pointed out, move to Domodedovo airport will allow the Georgian airline to solve two most important tasks. First passengers get better quality of the ground maintenance. Secondly the airline plans to sign agreements on the co-operation , that will allow to increase flights load capacity between Moscow and Tbilisi, with a series of Russian airlines, carrying out flights to Domodedovo airport.
At the present moment International airport links the capital of Russia with all the capitals of CIS countries. According to the results for 10 months 2003 on the routes to the CIS countries 1 120 000 passengers were served, that exceeded the indicator for the whole year of 2002 when 1 012 000 passengers went through Domodedovo airport on the routes to/from CIS countries.
