Announcement by the press service of Domodedovo International Airport25.08.2004Domodedovo International Airport authorities wish to extend their sincere condolences to family members and relatives of passengers of the Sibir airline flight from Moscow to Sochi and the Volga-Aviaexpress airline flight from Moscow to Volgograd, who have died in an aircraft crash. Both planes departed Domodedovo on August 24, 2004.
Both aircraft underwent regular pre-flight procedures in accordance with regulations by Russian aviation authorities and law enforcement agencies. Airport services fully completed all procedures, required by aviation security rules. No deviations in procedure implementation by airport services have been identified.
Currently, at Domodedovo International Airport, there are all conditions for activities by a special commission. Airport staff provides maximum support to experts' activities.
