Check -in of Transit Passengers
Transit passengers are checked-in in check-in area of the terminal's transit lounges, additional check-in section Transfer/Transit in the baggage claim area of domestic airlines and in the airport public area.
To register for a flight you need to produce your ticket, passport, and baggage receipts, if you travel with baggage. Baggage receipts are usually applied to the ticket at the airport of origin. Please note that the weight of your carry-on luggage may not exceed 5 kilograms. Having registered for your flight in the transit lounge you can immediately proceed to the boarding gate or visit the general lounge of the terminal. In this case you will need to proceed to the boarding gate through the sector specified on your boarding pass. Please note that you are required to be at the boarding gate not later than 25 minutes before your departure time.
Through registration
Some connecting flights operated by S7 Airlines and Transaero offer through registration all the way to the destination airport. When through registration is available passengers are registered not only for the flight terminating at Domodedovo, but also for the connecting flight to the final destination originating from Domodedovo and each passenger is issued with two boarding passes. Passengers who have undergone through registration at the airport of origin are not required to register once again in the transit or general lounge of the Domodedovo airport terminal - they need to proceed directly to the boarding gate specified on their boarding passes. More detailed information about through registration will be made available to you at the airport of origin.
Transit Baggage Check-in at the Airport of Departure
Moscow Domodedovo Airport is using special transit service technologies provided the passenger's baggage has been properly checked through at the airport of departure to the final destination. Not every airport offers such service to transit passengers. Please check with the airport of departure or the airline representatives to make sure your baggage has been checked through to your final destination.
Please note that registration of transit baggage at the airport of departure on the territory of the Russian Federation to the final destination outside the member countries of the Customs Union is only possible if transit baggage contains no customs-declarable items, as well as if this transit baggage is not subject to inspection at the airport of transit for the purpose of completing a customs declaration in writing. The numbered baggage tag attached to transit baggage is the evidence that the passenger has represented to the customs authority that this transit baggage contains no customs-declarable items. Customs control of such transit baggage is carried out without its presentation to the customs authority by transit passengers themselves. If any customs declarable item is found in transit baggage, the passenger is liable for the violation of customs laws of the Customs Union and the customs laws of the Russian Federation.
